Aso oke
Aso oke is a traditional yoruba fabric which is well-known for thickness and rich texture.
Aso oke is used for special occasions like naming ceremony,wedding ceremony,birthday party,burials etc.
It is mostly used for gele, agbada,fila,iro and buba etc
In the days of our forefathers,they wear iro and buba for female while for male,they wear agbada and these were made through aso oke.
There are different types of aso oke they are:
Alaari:is rich wine colour
Modern aso oke:is softer and lighter and has a bold colour combos.

Gele and simple wrapper can be matched together by some colours like champagne gold,
Burnt orange,emerald etc.
You can also use aso oke to make a gown like using aso oke to make a mermaid mixed with sequins and pearls. It is mostly used in a wedding ceremony.
Also, you can also use aso oke to make an off shoulder gown or top.
Moreso ,we can combine a lace and an aso oke together.
